Our original three Oil and Gas Technology Competitions provided up to $80 million in matching funds for late-stage breakthrough clean technology projects. Our new Accelerating Cleantech Innovation Competition will provide up to $12 million.
Accelerating Cleantech Innovation Competition (Open)
CRIN's Accelerating Cleantech Innovation Competition is seeking to advance cleantech deployment in Canada’s oil and gas industry to improve environmental performance, support economic growth and create high-value jobs.
Reducing Environmental Footprint Technology Competition (Closed)
CRIN's Reducing Environmental Footprint Technology Competition advanced technology solutions for high-priority environmental challenges across the oil and gas industry with the intent to export technologies internationally and for application across Canada’s industrial sector.
Low Emission Fuels and Products Technology Competition (Closed)
CRIN's Low Emission Fuels and Products Technology Competition sourced technologies that reduce the carbon intensity of the products and development processes from Canada’s oil and gas industry, including transportation fuels and other hydrocarbon-derived products.
Digital Oil & Gas Technology Competition (Closed)
CRIN’s Digital Oil & Gas Technology Competition identified high-impact digital technology solutions to address challenges in Canada’s oil and gas industry with the goal of improving environmental performance and competitiveness.

I have been working with CRIN since 2019. In that span of time, I've been lucky to work with them on a series of energy industry events, research reports and recognition programs looking to best identify how and where pathways of opportunity existed in all that encompasses "precision innovation" in the resource sector. Since then, I've continued to remain involved and passionate about putting time, money and attention to purposeful research and development. The Clean Resource Innovation Network promotes innovation in Canada’s hydrocarbon energy sector. Their support for the alternative cement barrier materials project with Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada and other industry leaders encourages collaboration to evaluate materials like resins and polymers. Through testing, the goal is to identify effective practices for successful well closure, aiming to reduce the current average.
